The royal residence of Maharaja Brijraj Singh of Kotah and his family, Brijraj Bhawan Palace Hotel is also a Heritage Hotel. It was constructed in 1830 A.D. as the British Residency and was later turned into the State visitor place of Kotah in 1900 A.D. Numerous VIPs from emissaries, Kings and Queens to Maharajas and Prime Ministers have stayed here. Its spacious rooms are graced with exquisite period furniture. Most of the rooms have a soothing and peaceful river view. Their well-maintained yards and porch gardens add to the style of thoughtful living. An abundance of trees and general greenery in the riverside surrounding the Brijraj Bhawan Palace guarantees the close proximity of a wide variety of beautiful birds. The food is prepared under the careful supervision of the royal family.
